ChunkMaster – Service Terms

1. About ChunkMaster

ChunkMaster is an AI-powered lexical chunk and collocation mining tool operated by MakeProductive. The service allows users to generate, study, save, and export natural-language chunks and collocations from a single word or topic using artificial intelligence technology.

2. Service Plans

ChunkMaster offers the following plans:

• Guest Trial: A limited number of free chunk searches without an account, including a small audio preview and one cloze practice card.
• Free Plan: Core chunk mining, audio playback, cloze practice, and a personal saved deck for authenticated users.
• Pro Plan: Unlimited AI-powered chunk generation (subject to fair use), priority support, full audio access, advanced export options, and additional premium features.

3. Fair Use Policy

Pro users enjoy generous access to AI chunk generation. However, to maintain service quality and prevent abuse, all usage is subject to our fair use policy. We reserve the right to apply reasonable rate limits to ensure equitable access for all users.

If your usage significantly exceeds normal patterns, we may temporarily slow down your access to protect the service. Normal users will never be affected by these safeguards.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Content generated by ChunkMaster is produced using artificial intelligence and should be reviewed before use. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI-generated chunks, translations, and examples may contain errors or inaccuracies.
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before relying on it for study or sharing.
• ChunkMaster does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of generated content for any purpose.
• You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for critical decisions or professional advice.

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the target words, chunks, and decks you create or save using ChunkMaster, including any modifications you make to AI-generated content. By using the service:

• You grant us a license to host, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any materials you upload or incorporate into your study content.
• You retain the right to delete your saved content at any time.

6. Saved Decks and Exports

Authenticated users may save mined chunks to a personal deck and export them to Anki-compatible formats. When exporting:

• You are solely responsible for how you use and distribute exported content.
• Exported decks are generated from your own mined chunks and are not shared publicly by ChunkMaster.
• You must not export or share content that violates any laws, infringes on others' rights, or contains harmful material.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use ChunkMaster to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or abuse any service limitations or safeguards.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to access the service beyond normal use.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

8. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to ChunkMaster if:

• You violate these Service Terms or the MakeProductive Terms & Conditions.
• Your usage patterns indicate abuse or attempt to circumvent fair use policies.
• You engage in any prohibited activities listed above.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except in cases of severe violations or where immediate action is necessary to protect the service or other users.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakeProductive and ChunkMaster shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to:

• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
• Any decisions made based on content created using the service.
• Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.
• Service interruptions or unavailability.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Service Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of ChunkMaster after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
